You know, it feels kind of wrong factory resetting this ole’ girl. She has served me well. Like the time when esxi04 decided it would not allow any VMs to run on him. You were the champ, you handled the workload without complaining. Or the issues we had when we wanted to rename you. But alas, it is time to say goodbye.
I’ve decided to upgrade my lab to all Intel Scalable CPUs. This means upgrading to either the Cisco M5 line, or Dell x40’s (Which won’t happen, I moved away from Dell, and my last Dell (r720, esxi02) will soon be gone.
But since I said I would not buy any more hardware until I sell existing equipment, I can now begin phase one of my Migration. I need to order the USC-MSTOR-M2 which is a device that holds 2x m.2 drives for booting. This is needed because I need my HBA free from the OS to be passed through to the Nutanix CVMs.
But I’ve found you a good home. You’re going to be running some workloads. You will love the new area. So, until next time..
