- ESXi 8.0 – TrueNAS VM, h710 and Mellanox ConnectX-3 Passed through
- 8x 16TB SAS in 8-wide RAIDz2
- Primarily used as backup of primary NAS. Primary NAS replicates to backup. Only powered on for replication tasks. Primary NAS sends PowerON API command to Dell R720. Once loaded, waits 15 minutes then begins replication jobs. Multiple jobs — replicates Media Volume, Veeam Repo, and VMware Targets.
- Once replication jobs complete and verified, shuts down host.

- Presents iSCSI targets to ESXi cluster
- Presents iSCSI targets for Veeam
- Presents NFS for Media and other storage.
- NVMe pool for VM high-iop.
- vCenter runs here, outside of vSAN cluster.
- Aria / aria logs runs here, outside of vSAN cluster
